What is SPRAVATO® (esketamine) Nasal Spray?
SPRAVATO® (esketamine) CIII nasal spray is FDA-approved for the treatment of:
- Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD) in adults, used alone or in combination with an oral antidepressant
- Depressive symptoms in adults with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) who are experiencing acute suicidal ideation or behavior, when used alongside an oral antidepressant
Getting Started With Spravato®
Once eligibility is confirmed by our clinical team and insurance approval is obtained, patients will schedule an intake appointment with one of our psychiatrists or nurse practitioners. During this visit, your provider will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determine whether SPRAVATO® is an appropriate treatment option, and develop a personalized care plan tailored to your needs.
What to Expect During Treatment
SPRAVATO® treatment sessions are customized to each patient. Throughout the process, our certified Spravato® technicians provide guidance, ensure your comfort, and closely monitor your response to treatment during the full 8-week induction phase.
Treatment Schedule:
- Weeks 1–4: Twice-weekly sessions
- Weeks 5–8: Once-weekly sessions
- Weeks 9 and beyond: Maintenance treatments every 1–4 weeks, as clinically appropriate
Each treatment session lasts approximately two hours, allowing for administration, monitoring, and recovery in a safe and supervised setting.
